Benoit won his first major championship, the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion, in August 1990. In February 1995, Benoit and Dean Malenko Won the ECW World Tag Team Championship. Benoit joined WCW in 1992 and left in 1993. He later returned to WCW in 1995, where he remained until 1999. Chris also won the WCW United States Heavy Championship.
